Metadata means data about data. In other words it describes the information system and its contents
It provides faster approach for integration.
So that ODI is simpler and faster integration.

ReplyDeleteI have a question about the diagram displayed in this post. Like you said, ELT architecture improves odi performance when compared to ETL but only when the staging area(temp tables) are created in the target database. If the staging area is separate from the target as shown in the second picture(shown as a separate db), ODI acts similar to a traditional ETL tool. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you!
